Anette Abrahamsson´s work revolves around specific places, culture identity and artefacts, often in large-scale paintings and small watercolors. The pictorial present proposes a narrative approach, while it simultaneously creates a narrative absence – conveying an unspoken story. She has developed a complex practice based on the juxtaposition of the objective image and the subjective perception of the viewer, which creates a mixture of detachment and engagement.
